1. Custom - All year, make and model, American made vehicles with three or more significant modifications to the body, engine and/or interior, including custom paint jobs, blowers, and turbos or may be a personal design by the builder, making the vehicle look unique.
2. Import - All year, make and model, vehicles manufactured in Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico, South America, such as MG, Porsche, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and VW.
3. Low Rider - All year, make and model, vehicles with customized paint, interior and air bags or hydraulics front and rear.
4. Original/Survivor - All year, make and model, vehicles that have been maintained both aesthetically and mechanically to original condition.
5. Patina and Rust - All year, make and model, both foreign and domestic, with or without three or more significant modifications to the body, engine and/or interior, with the natural patina and/or rust that comes from years of service.
6. Rat Rod - All year, make and model, non-traditional custom vehicles that in most cases imitate and/or exaggerate a Street Rod.
7. Special Build - All year, make and model, vehicles uniquely distinguishable from the usual, or designed for a particular purpose (i.e. fire truck, MASH jeep, tank, surf wagon, bus, race cars etc.) which would pique the interest of the public at large because of its uniqueness or specialty function.
8. Sports Car - All year, make and model, production two door vehicles designed to accommodate two people. Vehicles may be survivors, restored, original or customized.
9. Street Rod - All year, make and model, vehicles, or a reproduction thereof, that has been customized with a large displacement engine and/or modified by the removal, addition or substitution of essential parts.
10. Work in Progress - All year, make and model, vehicles in-progress restoration.
11. Young GearHeads - A class designed to recognize teens/students/younger collectors, who don't have the money to sink into paint and body that adults do. This class encourages owners who are 18 years of age or younger to show their rides, be it a newer vehicle or an in-progress restoration. Any work, modifications or restorations must have been mainly done by the "Young GearHead’" with only "some" help from parent(s)/guardian. The "Young GearHead’" must be present at the event to qualify.
